At IU, which web browsers does EPIC support?

When using EPIC at Indiana University, use one of the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 6 or later; if you use "shop contracts", version 7 or later is recommended
  • Firefox 2.0.0.16 or later
  • Safari 2.0 or later

You must also have Java 2 SE Runtime Environment 1.5 or later installed on your computer. Visit Oracle's Java page for download and installation information on the latest Java Platform.

Most computers at Indiana University already meet these requirements. However, if you require an upgrade and are not able to complete installation yourself, contact your local service provider (LSP).

Note: When prompted by Internet Explorer to view secure or insecure content, be sure to select the option that displays all content, both secure and insecure. Depending on your version of Internet Explorer, this might mean selecting Yes or No. For more, see Cross-site scripting and EPIC is not displaying.
