With a BlackBerry at IU, why won't my Out of Office message work properly?

A problem with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) at Indiana University may cause your Out of Office message to behave improperly. If you have a BES account at IU, your Out of Office message may:

• Stop working after 20 minutes to 2 hours
• Deliver an old message, even after you choose a new message
• Respond only to internal IU email addresses

Research in Motion (RIM) is aware of this problem and is working on a solution, which should be released before the end of 2008.
