At IU, how can I get RSS feeds of LISTSERV list archives?
The Indiana University LISTSERV web interface has RSS feeds of list archives that you can use with your web browser's built-in RSS reader or a third-party RSS reader.
To get RSS feeds of list archives, follow these steps:
- Log into the IU LISTSERV web interface; for more information, see
At IU, how do I access the web interface for LISTSERV list management?
- From the top, select
Subscriber's Corner.
- Under "List Names", select the name of the list for which you
would like to set up RSS feeds.
- On the following page, in the lower right corner, click the
desired feed (
Atom,RSS1, orRSS2) to view it in your browser's RSS reader.
Note: If you do not see links for RSS feeds, the LISTSERV list does not have an archive created (archives are known as notebooks in LISTSERV). The list owner must create a notebook for subscribers for RSS feeds to be available. For more information, see On my IU LISTSERV list, how can I create a list archive?
If you use a third-party application, simply copy and paste the resulting URL from the above instructions into your RSS reader.
Note: Due to LISTSERV's cookie-based authentication, access to private list archives using a third-party RSS reader is not currently supported at IU.
