In Oncourse CL, what is the podcasting tool?

Indiana University, in association with other members of the Sakai community, has developed a podcasting tool for use in Oncourse CL, IU's environment for collaboration and learning based on Sakai software. The tool (called Podcasts) allows content producers to upload their content and expose it via an RSS feed and a blog-like interface.

The Podcasts tool is based on an open source model, and is designed to support teaching, learning, and collaboration. It works with any personal computer, podcasting client, or digital media player, and can be used for collaboration between instructors, students, and project participants. To encourage innovation in podcasting, the tool is not limited to audio and video content.

For help documentation about the Podcasts tool, see Oncourse CL Podcasts: Help contents.
