At IU, what is phpMyAdmin?

phpMyAdmin is a PHP application that provides a web-based interface for the administration of MySQL databases on Webserve, Indiana University's central web server. For more, see the IU Webmaster's Test and Production MySQL Database Service User Guide for the IU Central WWW Servers.

You can access a customized version of phpMyAdmin on Webserve. After you enter a few lines of configuration information, you will be able to connect to your MySQL server on the MySQL database service host at mysql.iu.edu .

For more information on using and configuring phpMyAdmin at IU, see the IU Webmaster's phpMyAdmin Setup Guide.
