At IU, how can I obtain a private IP address?

To request a private IP address at Indiana University, send an email message to  dns-admin@indiana.edu  or  dns-admin@iupui.edu  with the following information:

  • Device type (e.g., server, workstation, or printer)
  • Campus
  • Fully qualified domain name
  • Primary usernames (these can be departmental or group usernames)
  • LSP username
  • Current IP address

Note: If your device doesn't have an IP address, provide its location instead (i.e., building name, room number, data jack number, and campus), so administrators know the subnet to which the device should belong.

All private IP addresses are routable university-wide (i.e., private IP addresses that are local to IU Bloomington or IUPUI are not available).

This is document arkv in domain all.
