In Netscape Navigator 6.2, 7.1, or 7.2, how do I remove a stored password?

To remove a stored (cached) password in Netscape Navigator 6.2, 7.1, or 7.2, follow the instructions below:

1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences... .
   
   
2. In the left frame, expand the menu next to Privacy & Security. In Navigator 7.1 or 7.2, choose Passwords; in Navigator 6.2, choose Web Passwords.
   
   
3. To stop the application from storing passwords in the future, in Navigator 7.1 or 7.2, uncheck the box next to Remember Passwords. In Navigator 6.2, uncheck the box next to Remember passwords for sites that require me to log in. Additionally, you may click Manage Stored Passwords in Navigator 7.1 or 7.2, or View Stored Passwords in Navigator 6.2. This will open a new window with the following options:
   
   
   • Under the Passwords Saved tab, you can see which sites and usernames have saved password data associated with them. You can select a site and click Remove to clear the stored password for that site, or you can click Remove All to clear all stored passwords for all the sites listed.
     
     
   • Under the Passwords Never Saved tab, you can instruct Navigator not to save login information for the sites you specify.
   
   
4. Click OK.
