In the IUIE, how is the default display format for a datagroup Date column set?

Note: The following information applies only to IUIE Information Providers.

A "Date Display Format" field is included in the Edit Column Information page for datagroup publishing. From a drop-down list, IUIE Information Providers can select from the following formats for this field:

  • MM/DD
  • MM/YY
  • MM/YYYY
  • MM/DD/YY
  • MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS
  • MM/DD/YY HH:MI:SS AM
  • MM/DD/YYYY
  • MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS
  • MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS AM
  • YY/MM
  • YYYY/MM
  • YYYY/MM/DD
  • YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS
  • YYYY/MM/DD HH:MI:SS AM
  • HH24:MI:SS
  • HH:MI:SS AM

MM/DD/YYYY will be used if no other selection is made. This display format applies to "Date" columns only. All other data types are unaffected.

Following is the key to the above formats, with the range of possible values where applicable:

Element Meaning
/ and : Punctuation is reproduced in the result
AM Meridian indicator without periods
DD Day of month (1-31)
HH Hour of day (1-12)
HH24 Hour of day (0-23)
MI Minute (0-59)
MM Month (01-12; January=01)
SS Second (0-59)
YYYY Four-digit year
YY Last two digits of year
