What are the IUB RTC network printer paths and models?
At Indiana University Bloomington, UITS provides printer utilities for Windows 2000, XP, and Vista and Mac OS X that will automatically install Student Technology Center (STC) and Residential Technology Center (RTC) printers; see How do I obtain and use the IU printer locator utility?
If you're using an older version of Windows or Mac OS, or if you wish to install your printer connection manually, the network paths and models for the IUB RTC printers are listed below. When configuring your campus housing residence computer to connect to your RTC's printer, select the required information that corresponds with your campus housing building. You do not need this information if you use the IU Windows or Mac OS X printer utility.
For Windows computers, you will need to enter the entire network path;
e.g., for Ashton-Mason you would enter
\\bl-uits-ascot\mq195prt . For Macintosh computers,
enter the printer queue information in bold at the end of the network
path string; e.g., for Ashton-Mason you would enter
mq195prt . However, you will need to note the
network path (\\bl-uits-ascot\).
