Good practices for teaching with technology: Give prompt feedback

Following are some examples of projects by AT&T Fellows Program recipients at Indiana University that illustrate the good practice of giving prompt feedback:

Students offered choices of type of computer exercises for assignments

This course by John Kremer allows students to complete their choice from an offering of five very different online exercises as homework. The exercises include flow charts, matching exercises, application of course concepts, and essays; all but the essays offer immediate feedback. For more, see Kremer's Good Practices project page.

Multimedia interactive exercises for second-year Chinese class

This good practice by Jennifer Liu is a web site containing interactive exercises in text, vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension, and reading to stimulate interest in the target language. For more, see Liu's Good Practices project page.

For more information, see the AT&T Fellows Program home page and the Good Practices for Teaching with Technology page.
