At IU, how much space is available to me on the RFS or SDA?
Note: To keep pace with the growing needs of Indiana University researchers, Research File System (RFS) storage will be migrating in the near future from OpenAFS to a new technology from DataDirect Networks, Inc. (DDN), based on the General Parallel File System (GPFS). For more, see Information about upcoming changes to the Research File System at IU.
On the Research File System (RFS) at Indiana University, you are assigned a 100 GB quota as an individual user. Collaborators can request additional space for projects.
On the Scholarly Data Archive (SDA), you can have up to 5 TB of space. However, for usage beyond this limit, some sort of funding arrangement is usually explored. If you have significant data storage needs, email the Research Storage group to arrange a meeting.
