For Corel WordPerfect, what are the minimum system requirements?

Note: In 2009, Indiana University renewed its software agreement with Corel. For detailed information, see IU's software agreement with Corel.

Following are the minimum system requirements for various versions of Corel WordPerfect:

  • Corel WordPerfect Office X4

    • Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate, or Business (32-bit and 64-bit) or Windows XP Home, Media Center, or Professional Edition (with latest service pack and critical updates)
    • 466MHz processor (Pentium III or equivalent processor recommended; 800MHz processor required for Windows Vista)
    • 256MB RAM (512MB required for Windows Vista)
    • 600MB hard disk space for full installation of all included applications
    • Super VGA, 16-bit color monitor with 800x600 or greater resolution
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Mouse or tablet pointing device
    • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher

  • Corel WordPerfect Office X3 Student/Teacher Edition

    • Windows 98SE, 2000 with Service Pack 4, XP with Service Pack 2, or Vista with the latest service patches and critical updates
    • 466MHz (Pentium III or equivalent processor recommended)
    • 128MB RAM (256MB recommended)
    • 600MB hard disk space (700MB for full installation)
    • Super VGA, 16-bit color monitor with 800x600 or greater resolution
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Mouse or tablet pointing device
    • Internet Explorer 5.5

  • Corel WordPerfect Office 12 Student and Teacher Edition for Windows

    • Windows 98SE, NT 4.0 with SP6a, 2000 with SP4, or XP with SP1 (Home or Professional Edition)
    • Pentium 166MHz processor
    • 64MB RAM (128MB recommended)
    • 195MB hard disk space (197MB additional space for Paradox)
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Mouse or tablet pointing device

  • Corel WordPerfect Office 11 Education Edition for Windows

    • Windows 98SE, NT 4.0 with SP6a, Me, 2000 with SP3, or XP with SP1 (Home or Professional Edition)
    • Pentium 166MHz processor
    • 64MB RAM (128MB recommended)
    • 370MB hard disk space
    • 16-bit, 800x600 SVGA color monitor
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Mouse or tablet pointing device
