At IUB or IUPUI, how can I reserve an STC for a class?

Faculty at Indiana University Bloomington may reserve many of the Student Technology Centers (STCs) for classroom use by filling out an online form. Faculty at IUPUI wishing to reserve an STC should contact their departments about available labs.

Note: Due to their small size, high demand, and unsuitability as classrooms, Residential Technology Centers (RTCs) are not available for reservation.

IUB

To reserve an Indiana University Bloomington Student Technology Center (STC):

1. Consult the Schedule of Reserved Student Technology Centers to determine which STCs are available on your preferred date and time. At the top of the schedule page, use the radio buttons and drop-down menus to define the time period you want to display.
   
   
2. To reserve an STC, fill out the request form. Once your request is processed, you'll receive a confirmation via email.

   Note: Your reservation is not complete until you receive your confirmation.

3. To help maintain the accuracy of the posted STC schedules, please follow these guidelines:
   
   
   • Submit your reservation request by noon on the Friday prior to the reservation. This provides ample notice to STC users who wish to plan their schedules using the schedule grid at the beginning of each week.

     Note: If it's critical to have a specific STC on a particular date, submit your reservation request as early as possible.

   • Cancel an unneeded reservation as soon as possible by sending email to  stcsite@indiana.edu .
   • Your reservation will be held for 15 minutes after the schedule starting time. If you don't arrive by that time, the STC will revert to open access.

You can verify your reservations at any time by visiting the Schedule of Reserved Student Technology Centers. Reservations not on this schedule cannot be honored without your reservation confirmation.

IUPUI

Only full-time faculty and staff members are authorized to reserve an STC at IUPUI. To do so, check with your department.
