What does the message "disk quota exceeded" mean?
All of your UITS computing accounts have a quota of disk storage space that you, as a user, are allocated. When you fill up your quota of disk space, you will receive a "disk quota exceeded" message when you try to perform many operations, such as sending or receiving email.
For information on how to delete files and clear space on your accounts, see:
- On my Cyrus mail account, what should I do when I go over quota?
- In Microsoft Outlook 2002, 2003, and 2007 for Windows, what can I do about an "exceeding" or "over size limit" message?
- At IU, in Unix, how can I make better use of my disk quota?
