Help for students

General resources

Browse the Student Researcher resources.

If you have never done library research before, visit the interactive Guide to Library Research tutorial. The individual modules of the Guide to Library Research (including one for the EBSCO Host Research Database, i.e., Academic Search Premier) are also available from the Interactive Tutorials page.

Access handouts on basic topics such as database searching, citing electronic sources, and evaluating web resources on the Instructional Handouts page.

Workshops and individual help

Information Commons drop-in workshops with topics ranging from using Google to starting a research paper are also available. View the schedule of workshops.

The Reference Department offers free classes on how to use online journals and databases and locate subject-specific information. View the schedule of upcoming classes and register for classes at the Library Research Seminars for Faculty and Graduate Students page.
